A Statement from the Arkansas Conference Delegation to General and Jurisdictional Conferences
As we await important announcements about General Conference later this month, and continue to receive new proposals and input, the members of the delegation are motivated by a desire for a United Methodist Church that makes room for all, including perspectives which might be described as progressive, centrist, and traditional, believing that a diversity of voices is a blessing and is essential for the growth of the whole body, and, at the same time, allows for a gracious exit for those who feel led to create new expressions of Methodism. Our shared hope is to cultivate an environment where we can truly bless one another and continue to be in conversation and in ministry with one another.” (From our meeting on February 6, 2021)
