Beacon Church

“You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. People do not light a lamp and put it under the bushel basket; rather, they put it on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:14-16

As United Methodist Christians, we are called to be a beacon for all seeking God’s saving grace and life-giving love. During this season, when some find themselves without a church home due to closure or disaffiliation, there are congregations that have made a special commitment to be a place of hospitality and a haven of hope.

Every Arkansas United Methodist Church is invited to accept the invitation to be a Beacon Church within the Arkansas Conference, where we will strive to be a place of hospitality and welcome as a United Methodist congregation.
