
Cynthia Lynn “Cindy” Parker, age 73, of Hot Springs Village died on November 12, 2025, following a lengthy illness. Born on March 4, 1952, in Clinton, Iowa.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Paul L. Shaw, mother, Jacquelyn J. Ament and step-father, Edward J. Ament, husband of 38 years, Jerry Parker, and one brother, Gregory Ament.
Cindy retired as a beloved District Administrator having served the South-Central District (2004-2012) and the Southwest District (2012-2021) of the Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church. A member of Village United Methodist Church, Cindy sang in the chancel choir and enjoyed crocheting prayer shawls with the sewing team.
She is survived by one son, Michael Mangold; sisters, Sheila Story and Lori Roach (William); stepchildren, Marcus Parker, Laura Pitchford (Mike), Angela Westholm (Nils), and Sara Noble (Kenny); 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 11:00 at Village United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Hemund officiating.
