Kids of Salem UMC in Conway share love for Valentine’s Day

written by Rev. Peaches Smith

The Salem Kids of Salem United Methodist Church in Conway baked and decorated cookies for Valentine’s Day as a special way to share love with others. Each cookie was carefully wrapped in a cellophane bag, tied with a beautiful red bow, and adorned with a decorated red heart.

As part of our lessons on the difference between saying “I love you” and showing “I love you,” the children put their love into action. These heartfelt treats were given to families who visited our Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry distribution.

In addition to the cookies, the children also created handmade cards, which have been mailed to those who are in the hospital or recovering at home. Their kindness and generosity continue to shine as a reflection of God’s love.

We are so proud of our children and their giving hearts!
