Mena First United Methodist Church created a Be My Valentine Tree for Peachtree Assisted Living residents. Each heart on the tree had the name of a resident written on it. Church attendees chose hearts from the tree, purchased gifts, and returned the gifts with the hearts attached.
The gifts were delivered to Peachtree Assisted Living on Valentine’s Day during their afternoon party. Congregation members handed out gifts, visited with residents, and helped serve cupcakes and drinks.
