Last weekend, an unfortunate fire in Thornton, Arkansas, left a family without a home. The United Methodist Church in Thornton, led by Rev. Ron Grigsby, was able to collect $500 in a matter of hours and, with help from the community, organized a clothing drive and secured three nights of lodging at a local hotel. Church members are also feverishly working to restore a mobile home for the family to have.
In response to the buzz in the community about how the United Methodists have gone above and beyond to provide love, service, and gifts to this family, Rev. Ron Grigsby shared, “God is so good! And I told them this morning at church that I was so proud of them!”
