A Senior Recognition event was held recently at FUMC Batesville to recognize all of the local graduating seniors.
Rev. Katie Pearce recently shared that Wednesday nights are the biggest outreach into the Batesville community and one of the highlights each week at FUMC Batesville.
“Between our children and youth we have over 120 people most Wednesday evenings, and it is a diverse group including those who attend on Sunday morning and youth and children from the community for whom Wednesday nights are their connection to a faith community,” shared Rev. Pearce.
“This year we had 25 seniors graduate from our youth program. Some are staying in Batesville and hopefully will join our college-aged ministry on Thursday nights, and some are moving away. We have youth going into the workforce, the military, and to college after high school graduation,” added Pearce.
