The Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church announced today that Amy White Ezell has been named Director of the Center for Communication of the Arkansas Conference. Her first official day in the conference office will be April 30.
Amy’s responsibilities will include developing all strategic communications and messaging of the conference. She will support the Bishop and lead the Center for Communication staff in development, implementation and evaluation of integrated conference communication strategy. Amy will also train and assist conference leaders and congregations on effective communications tools, aligned messaging and marketing.
Previously, Amy was the Business Development Specialist for the Bariatric and Metabolic Institute at Arkansas Heart Hospital. Amy was responsible for the planning, development and implementation of marketing strategies, communications and public relations efforts within the launch of this successful service line across Arkansas and bordering states. Prior to working for Arkansas Heart Hospital, she was a Marketing Operations Specialist and Accounts Supervisor for KGB Texas communications agency in San Antonio. Amy has also owned her own communications firm that has brought her experience in successful rebranding campaigns, national media management and exposure, and working with the Clinton White House.
“Amy’s diverse communications background makes her a natural fit to lead the communications for the Arkansas Conference,” Bishop Gary Mueller said. “I am excited for her to bring a fresh perspective and insight into telling the stories of the great work being done in our conference.
