Grand Avenue UMC in Stuttgart hosted a Back-to-School Bash on August 2 with over 140 people in attendance. Most families who participated needed backpacks and school supplies, while others attended as a fun outing with their kids.
“With many prayers and a great deal of hard work, we were able to provide over 80 backpacks filled with essential supplies and snacks, along with other school essentials, to those in need in our community,” said Rev. Laura Todd of Grand Avenue UMC. Free books were also given out to all children who wanted them.
This event was part of their 200,000 More Reasons grant.
