We are excited to bring back this event for young people in Arkansas Conference United Methodist churches who are currently in confirmation class or recently confirmed!
Confirmation Day with the Bishop will provide confirmands the opportunity to be circuit riders for the day, visiting 3 different United Methodist churches in the Little Rock area throughout the day allowing them to experience a total of 5 stops along their circuit including:
- ARUMC history presentation & visit to the United Methodist Museum of Arkansas
- Roundtable discussions with members of the ARUMC sharing stories about why the UMC is important to them and how they serve in their local churches
- Games and learning about ARUMC connectionalism with members of theARUMC Council on Youth Ministries
- Hands-on service project led by Ozark Mission Project staff
- Worship with Bishop Laura Merrill
A few important things to know about Confirmation day with the Bishop 2024:
- There is no age or grade designation for this event. We recognize confirmation happens at different times in each church and sometimes includes multiple ages.
- Adults must accompany confirmands at all times. Churches will stay together as a group to travel their designated circuit so there is NO drop-off option.
- All adults attending MUST be Safe Gatherings approved. (See confirmation email for more info once you’ve registered.)
- Every participant (confirmands and adults) MUST sign a liability release form. (See confirmation email for more info once you’ve registered.)
- There is a $10 registration fee for all participants (confirmands and adults) to cover the cost of lunch.
- The deadline to register is Tuesday, March 5. No refunds will be issued after this date.
- On Thursday, March 7, each church will receive a customized schedule to follow telling them their circuit’s starting location and order of subsequent stops.

- Grade of Participant
- Church Name
- Dietary Restrictions
- Name of Adult Contact Attending Event (This is the adult in charge of your church’s group while attending the event.)
- Adult Contact Phone Number
- Adult Contact Email Address
