Constance “Connie” Techton Durham, age 82, passed away surrounded by her family on September 1, 2023, in Long Beach, MS. She was born on March 25, 1941, in Chester, PA. Connie lived in various places, accompanying her husband throughout his military career, until they finally settled in Long Beach in 2006.
Connie’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She cherished every moment shared with her loved ones and leaves behind a legacy of family, love and devotion.
She was preceded in death by her former spouse, Samuel Techton, Sr.; sister, Joan Moyer; parents, James Douglas Moyer and Charlotte Helen Moyer (née Walker); and Ron’s son, Albert Durham.
Connie is survived by her beloved spouse, Ronald Wayne Durham, Sr., and their combined children, Samuel Techton (Sonya), Kenneth Techton (Debbie), Christine Techton Riddle (Jimbo), Anthony Durham (Susan), Kathryn Durham Trout (Lee), and Ronald Durham Jr. (Tina); grandchildren, Joseph Techton (Adrianne), Megan Techton Edwards (Ryan), Dylan Techton, Paul Riddle (Megan), Ashely Riddle, Kaitlyn Trout, Madelyn Trout, Jackson Trout, Parker Durham, Makenna Mathis, Jarrod Banks, Elijah Edwards, and Christopher Belden; great-grandchildren Charlotte Techton, Penelope Techton, Donovan Techton, Reagan Riddle, Ryan Riddle, Delilah Techton, and Scarlett Techton; and siblings, Linda Hamrick, Douglas Moyer, and Betty Lee.
Visitation will be held on September 7, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Long Beach. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, also at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Connie’s honor to First United Methodist Church of Long Beach.
