Obituary – Rev. Charles Watt

Rev. Charles E. Watt, 92, passed away on July 31, 2023, at his home in El Paso, Arkansas. He was born April 10, 1931, in Salem, Oregon, to the late Charles and Jessamine (Jeffrey) Watt. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty-five years, Martha Jane Watt; and youngest son, Robert “Bob” Watt.

Reverend Charles was a loved and respected elder of the United Methodist Church and a proud Korean War Veteran. His wit, sincere love of people, persistent curiosity, and endless good humor will long echo in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is survived by his eldest son, David Watt, and his wife, Jane; daughter, Debbie Robbins; daughter-in-law, Jeimin Aguilar Watt; as well as eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 7, 2023, at Jacksonville First United Methodist Church. Memorial donations in Reverend Charles’ memory are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
