Rev. Robert H. Jackson, 90, of El Dorado passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.
Born October 7, 1932, in Stamps, AR he was the son of Calhoun Milnor and Ruth Lee Owen Jackson.
Robert served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He entered the ministry on September 20, 1951, and served in the United Methodist Church in the Hope District and Camden District for nearly 70 years including First United Methodist Church in Junction City. He was also a member of the Strong Masonic Lodge.
Preceding him in death along with his parents were an infant daughter and infant twins and four sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Darden Jackson of El Dorado, a sister, Hazel Marie Waddell (Ed) of Sherwood, AR and foster children, Terry Stryker, Vickie Stryker, Kristie Stryker, and Christopher Matthew Moore along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Norphlet United Methodist Church with funeral services to follow with Rev. Amanda Smith and Rev. Nathan Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
