John Elbert Noggle, age 77, of Cecil, Arkansas, died, Thursday, December 15, 2022, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born September 27, 1945 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to John Henry Noggle Jr. and Thelma Lorene Kincannon Noggle. John was a United States Marine Corp Vietnam Veteran, Class president of 1963, retired Lineman with Arkansas Valley Electric, a member and a Chairman of the Ozark United Methodist Church, a Sunday school teacher for 53 years, a member of the Cattleman’s Association, a Farm Bureau Board member, a South Rural Water Board member, was instrumental in getting a South Rural water, a President of Ozark Little League, a President of Ozark Athletic Booster Club, and an avid quail hunter. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 49 years, Judy Jane Noggle; and one sister, Jan Sweeden.
John is survived by two sons, John J. Noggle and wife Penny of Tuckerman, Arkansas and Patrick Noggle and wife Mallory of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two brothers, Jim Noggle and wife Sue of Ozark, Arkansas and Mike Noggle and wife Jacquelyne of Greenville, Texas; four grandchildren, Macie and Garrett Noggle, Josh Pasley and wife Brianna, and Gracie Farley; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation service will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel 2315 West Commercial Street Ozark.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Ozark First United Methodist Church 503 West Commercial Street in Ozark, with Brother David Henshaw and Brother Brad Elrod officiating, with burial at Cecil Cemetery Highway 96 Cecil, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Noggle, Todd Noggle, Lloyd Rausher, Johnny Williams, Mac Bornmann, and Don Easom . Honorary pallbearers will be Men and Women of Arkansas Valley Electric and the Taylor Sunday School Class.
