On January 30, 2022, the newly renovated kitchen and dining room at St. James UMC in Pine Bluff was consecrated. The new space will be used to further ministry work providing meals for the food insecure.
“I am very excited about how this amazing gift will help further the outreach of St. James in the community,” said Rev. Natasha Murray, the pastor at St. James.
The space is furnished with brand new kitchenware and appliances and provides seating for up to 50 people, thanks to a generous gift from The Methodist Foundation for Arkansas.
“We are looking forward to having a space that will allow us to have a greater impact to serve and be in fellowship with our neighbors,” said Rev. Murray.
