Minister to Youth and Their Families

Trinity United Methodist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas, seeks applicants for a part-time staff position as Minister to Youth and Their Families. This person will deliver faith formation opportunities with youth in grades 6 -12. Duties include planning and leading weekly youth group meetings, youth Sunday School, service projects, and fellowship experiences. Other duties include planning and leading retreats and mission trips and being involved in regularly scheduled staff meetings.

The position is for 15-20 hours per week. Salary will be commensurate with experience, with a range of  $15,000 – $20,000.

Job Description

• Plan and lead weekly youth group meetings, Bible studies, and fellowship events.
• Organize and oversee throughout the year youth retreats, mission trips, and service projects.
• Provide mentorship and pastoral care to youth and their families
• Collaborate with parents, volunteers, the Director of Music Ministries and the pastor to provide Youth Choir and Hand Bell choir and involvement in church activities and worship
• Maintain an active communication with youth and families through email, text, social media, newsletters, and church announcements
• Provide a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all youth (all leaders are Safe Gathering certified)
