Contemporary Worship Leader

Village United Methodist Church, Hot Springs Village, is seeking a contemporary praise team leader.

The Contemporary Worship Leader is responsible for music and worship planning and leading our congregation in the 9:00 a.m. praise service as well as the administration of all things necessary for livestreaming for all services. This person will work in direct consultation with the Senior Pastor.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Personal depth of faith and desire to walk with Christian integrity • Education –degree in music, worship studies, or related field and experience is preferred • Ability to musically lead a congregation vocally and instrumentally (ability to play guitar or keyboard preferred)
• Lead energizing, inspiring and dynamic worship music • Strong communication, organizational and planning skills, ability to initiate and lead • Knowledge of Audio/Video equipment, livestreaming, and general Microsoft Office applications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide leadership for Praise Team
   • Plan and lead praise team in rehearsals and services o Recruit and train praise team participants o Lead congregation as we offer meaningful, transformative worship to the Lord
2. Administration of Live-streaming
   • Prepare praise service worship slides for in-house and on-line worship o Manage ReStream, Facebook, YouTube, and local radio KVRE accounts for worship services o Train and schedule volunteers to run livestream for praise services
3. Attend weekly staff/worship planning meetings as scheduled

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This position is part-time (20 hours/week + 2-5 irregular hours) salaried ($30,000) at-will employment.

Office space and music resources are provided, though working remotely is expected given the part-time nature of this position. Anticipate being on-site minimum of 2-3 days/week for rehearsals, planning, and worship.
