Central District of the Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church
The Central District of the Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church is seeking a District Administrator. The Central District Office is located at the Arkansas Conference Office (800 Daisy Bates Dr., Little Rock, AR) on the Philander Smith University campus.
Description: Salaried position of support of the District Superintendent, the district office, and to assist and equip the local church and pastors.
Goal: The goal of this position is to manage the district office efficiently and effectively, and accomplish the goals and ministries of the Central District of the United Methodist Church. Cooperation and communication with the district superintendent and district pastors are essential.
Qualifications
This person must have strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications, and the ability to organize and manage information. This person should be able to learn new programs to aid in the district’s work. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal supervision is required. A working knowledge of the United Methodist Church’s structure, doctrine, and polity is important. This position requires an extremely high degree of confidentiality.

Office Duties
- Answer phones and greet visitors in a friendly, professional manner
- Answer emails in a quick and professional manner
- Organize district events (Christmas, Welcomes, and other social events)
- Coordinate all communication
- Serve as Registrar for district events
- File emails pertaining to pastors and churches using Google Drive
- Maintain scanned documents for Google Drive
Other Duties
- Prepare and review financial reports and request corrections as needed
- Assist and equip local churches and church administrators as needed
- Maintain Vital Signs database and assist as needed
- Assist with immigration issues if needed
- Attend offsite meetings as requested or required (DS/DA, Lawyer’s Conference, committee, etc.)
- Assist with Ingathering details and communication
- Special projects as requested by Bishop, Cabinet, and conference office
- Other duties as assigned.
