Take one look, and you will quickly discover that Refuge is dedicated to helping youth experience a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ!

Worship
Spirit Led & Passionate
Worship describes those times we gather deliberately seeking to encounter God in Christ. God uses worship to transform lives, heal wounded souls, renew hope, shape decisions, provoke change, inspire compassion, and bind people to one another.

Community
Faith Based & Connectional
Encouraging each other through affirmation is crucial to the growing process of a group. When a youth’s peers compliment them, they feel more confident in their self in relation to the group and can share deeper feelings. When friends tell a peer that they appreciate them.

Faith
Growing & Deepening
Through the personal practice of Faith Development, we do the soul work that connects us to others, immerses us in God’s Word, and positions us to grow in grace and mature in Christ. Faith is built many ways during the weekend by worship, fellowship, and outdoor adventure.

Worship Leaders
Dave and Brooke first began singing together at the U of A Wesley college ministry in 2015, and have continued to lead worship together for the past 4 years. After a few years of serving on staff at Central UMC in Fayetteville, AR, they began writing songs together inspired by the local congregation and the work of God in their church. After encouragement and affirmation from pastors and leadership in their songwriting, they began to cultivate and grow a catalog of songs they have introduced to the church.
Devon lives with his wife Elizabeth, and their two dogs in Fayetteville. Devon has had a strong call to see people through long term discipleship, so he went on the receive a degree in Pastoral Ministry at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2011. Devon loves to live life on his feet, but he also likes to slow it down sometimes and connect with others. Devon helps lead worship at Central UMC in Fayetteville.
