Youth Minister

First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs is seeking a full-time Youth Minister to plan, implement, and coordinate the youth ministry of the church for grades 6-12.  Applicants must have a passion for youth ministry, be able to recruit, train, and coordinate youth ministry leaders, involve youth in mission activities, engage parents in the life of the youth ministry, and work with the pastors and church staff in fulfilling the goals of the mission of the church. Applicants must also have working knowledge and implementation of United Methodist theology in a youth curriculum.

Minimum qualifications for the position include a college degree (preferred) in any field, Christian Education or Religion, helpful. Experience working with youth and youth ministries (either as volunteer or paid staff), proven excellence in recruiting and training volunteers while providing volunteers the tools to carry out a requested service task, i.e. lesson plans.
