Arkansas area Bishop Gary Mueller offered the initial message on the “Heart of United Methodism” in the Episcopal retirement worship service today in Houston.
**As a personal aside, I always love to hear his call story that he shared with the South Central Jurisdiction today. This story speaks to many people who are not “cradle Christians” those who seek a relationship with Jesus Christ without the familial “upbringing” in a church. I have learned so much from Bishop Mueller in these past four and a half years of serving with him, but most of all, I have learned that it is never too late to love Jesus, love yourself, and be loved. – Amy Ezell
