ABMCR Seeking Nominations for the Dr. Negail Riley Legacy Award

Since 2010, the Arkansas Chapter of Black Methodists for Church Renewal (ABMCR) has honored the legacy of Rev. Dr. Negail Riley. Annually, ABMCR recognizes persons in three (3) categories: Laity, Clergy, and Youth/Young Adult. The Dr. Negail Riley dinner will be held on Tuesday, June 2 at 6:30 p.m. in the Convention Center, and recognizes the 50th Anniversary of the Commission on Religion and Race and the Black College Fund. Our featured speaker is Dr. Cynthia Bond Hopson, Chief Equity Officer, Assistant General Secretary – The Black College Fund, GBHEM.

The cost of the dinner tickets is $35 and can be purchased as a part of your Annual Conference registration package. Dr. Riley, in his BMCR leadership role, was one of the main writers of the legislation which became the 1972 Discipline paragraph forming both General Church agencies.

Please use this form to nominate someone that you think exemplifies Dr. Riley’s characteristics.
