Spring is popping in Little Rock as bushes flower and trees put on their coat of green. Not so much, however, where I live in the country. Sure, the daffodils are at their peak, yet the trees are still winter bare. But there is green. Lots of it. The only problem is that it’s where I don’t want it. I’m talking about weeds – in the gravel driveway, pushing up through the mortar on the flagstone walk and filling in the landscape beds. When I look at them all I see is the weeding I’m going to have to do. Until the Holy Spirit prompted me to remember that God’s idea of beauty is often quite different from mine. In nature. Even more importantly, with people. So if I want to get the best view of life, I need to make sure I see things from God’s perspective.
