Yesterday I used the fact that my glasses decided to play hide and seek with me as a way of talking about how spending time with God to start every day gives you 20/20 vision. While I was on a Zoom Council of Bishops’ meeting a little later, Karen texted me, “I found them!” Of course, this wasn’t surprising because that’s how it usually works in our house. But as I was thanking her profusely, God used that moment to remind me that this is exactly how God’s grace works. It comes as a surprise when it is least expected and offers you exactly what you need at that moment, even if you didn’t know that’s what you needed. The question is never whether God’s grace is real. It is. It’s whether you let it really go to work in your life.
