Two daffodils bloomed in my yard yesterday. Conventional wisdom would say that daffodils blooming is a sign that spring is right around the corner. And maybe it is. Except for the minor detail that we’re under a winter storm warning that will bring ice, sleet, snow and plunging temperatures. And when you’re slipping and sliding on the roads, fighting the lines at the store buying milk, bread and toilet paper, and worrying that the power will go out, you have a really difficult time believing that spring will ever come. But it will. You can absolutely count on it. Right now you may be in such a difficult and painful place in your life that you have a really hard time believing there is any hope for you. But there is. You can absolutely count on it. Because God is holding you in the palm of His hand.
