Today we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. It is a celebration of his birthday, a commemoration of his life and, perhaps most importantly, a reminder of the biblical vision he articulated so compellingly and passionately about the world as God longs it to be. In a day and age marked by trite social media influencers, dysfunctional institutions and ever-growing polarization, I am grateful to God for all the many reminders this day of his vision of a better way and how we are called to journey towards it.
