Your identity – how you understand who you are and how you feel about that – has a lot to do with the quality of your life. Sadly, however, you may be the victim of identity theft. Not the kind so many people experience with credit cards, banks and other personal information. Rather, the kind that comes from having the negative and horrible things others say about you shape how you understand and feel about yourself. But you don’t have to be a victim of identity theft any longer if you entrust your identity to Jesus. After all, he’s the one who loves you enough to leave his rightful place with God to seek you out. Who loves you just as you are. Who willingly dies to free you from all that destroys your life. Who transforms you from the inside-out. And who invites you to follow him. Letting Jesus give you your true identity doesn’t mean life won’t be without its challenges. It will. But it will also be an amazing adventure in which you are crafted into the person he dreams for you to be.
