You spend your life doing stuff. Sometimes that stuff is work, which is something you have to do to keep life running. While you know you have to work, it often feels like drudgery. At other times the stuff you do is play, which is something you get to do that you don’t have to do but want to do. It’s fun and enjoyable, and you can’t wait to do it. In the hustle and bustle of life, it can be easy to forget that God created you to work and play. Both are important. Both are needed. And that’s where passion comes in. Passion is doing stuff at the intersection of work and play. It’s renewing, fulfilling and makes a difference. Which means, of course, that some of the most important stuff you can ever do in your life is find your passion. It will help you feel more fully alive, regardless of your age or stage of life. But more importantly, you will be experiencing the unique gift God wants to give you.
