Margaret Ann Johnson Swaty, 80, of Russellville, AR passed away on October 27th, 2021. Margaret was born in Little Rock, AR on January 2nd, 1941 to James and Edith Johnson.

Margaret graduated from Central High School in 1958. Following graduation, she worked as a teacher’s aide, a typist, and a legal secretary. She spent much of her career working at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Margaret enjoyed cross-stitching and reading in her free time.

Margaret and her husband Charles Swaty celebrated more than fifty years of marriage before he passed away. They raised three children together. Margaret was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church.

In retirement, she was a proud grandmother, volunteered at the church library, and traveled with her beloved husband to Europe and Hawaii.

Margaret leaves to cherish her memory her sister Carolyn Mahan, her children Cynthia Ann (Jeff), Charles Roy Jr., Edith Grace (Bobby) and three grandchildren- Sarah, Rachel, and Jack, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 9 AM, Monday November 1st at Henderson United Methodist Church with Funeral Service following at 9:30 AM. Burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial in Little Rock.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Henderson United Methodist Church.
