Sometimes I think I know how God thinks. That’s always a sign I need to run to Holy Scripture. First, to understand what God thinks. And while this takes some work on my part, it is doable. Second, to make sure that what matters to God really matters to me. This is not nearly as easy because what matters to God often challenges me to change things that are deeply ingrained in me. And that kind of change can be hard. Yet I discover something every single time I am willing to walk the difficult journey of change God calls me to travel. I am grateful God loves me just the way I am. And I am even more grateful God loves me enough not to leave me just the way I am.
