We pray for the children we love. May they experience Your love in its fullness in Jesus. May they know how much we love them and live in the security of that love every moment of every day. May they grow compassionate hearts, and become people who long to love, serve and live a life of mercy. May they blossom as the people You have created them to be.
We pray for the children whose lives are smothered by poverty. May they know Your love in its fullness in Jesus. May they never worry about going to bed hungry. May their parents have doors opened to them so they can provide for their children in the ways they long to, but seem powerless to. May they find hope that comes so seldom, and cling to it with every breath. May they blossom as the people You have created them to be.
We pray for the children who suffer from physical and emotional abuse, and carry scars, both seen and unseen, that will haunt them their entire lives. May they know Your love in its fullness in Jesus. May they find harbors of safety. May they not be defined by their pain, but rise above it to discover a far different life than that they feel trapped in. May they blossom as the people You have created them to be.
We pray for ourselves and every adult across the globe, that we will be convicted that all children are Your children and, therefore, our children. May we make their well-being our priority. May we advocate for them. May we get involved in their lives. May we be hope-bearers to them in the ways they need. And may we share Your love in its fullness in Jesus with them.
We pray this in the strong name of Jesus.
