It will be Christmas in just two weeks. Which, in spite of what the calendar says, probably means the pressure is on – especially this year. You’re busy trying to make it a ‘perfect Christmas’ as an antidote to the craziness of the past 10 months. You’re trying to figure out how you’re going to ‘do Christmas’ when so many of the things you usually do are off the table because of safety concerns in the midst of a pandemic. And, if truth be told, you’re struggling to make it ‘feel like Christmas’ in the surreal world of COVID. Those feelings are real. And it’s exactly why this is the perfect time to put first things first by shifting your focus from those things that inevitably leave you feeling empty to the one thing that matters most between now and Christmas – getting ready to celebrate the birth of Jesus who has come/is present/will come again.
