It’s the morning after the election. The voting is over, yet the counting continues. You may look at the current vote tabulation and be excited; you may look at it and be deflated. Regardless,  it’s important to remember several things. First, everyone needs to remain calm and be patient because it’s going to be a while – perhaps weeks – before we know who the President of the United States will be. Second, our nation is deeply divided and this presents a huge challenge all of us will need to address in the coming years regardless of who is president. Third, and most importantly, there is something far more critical than whether your candidate is elected or not. It’s the fact that God is still God, Jesus is still Lord and the Holy Spirit is still at work. This is your ultimate hope – today, tomorrow and for all eternity.
