Being a Christian is not just about going to church, although being part of the Body of Christ is important. It’s not primarily about having the right political beliefs, although that is an important expression of it. And it’s certainly not focused solely on getting to heaven, although an eternal relationship with God is at the heart of it. Rather, being a Christian is about spending a lifetime saying, “I need a Savior because I can’t do it on my own, regardless of how hard I try. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior who gives me what I need, but can never get on my own. I embrace Jesus’ unconditional, invitational and transformational grace as the foundation of everything in life. And I choose to share the blessings I have received from Jesus with others in real ways that make a real difference in their real lives.”
