The fact of the matter is that we face critical issues so immense they threaten life as we know it. This is the focus of so much of our attention – in politics, the news media and social media. Not surprisingly, you sometimes probably feel your life is insignificant in the enormity of all these very real challenges. But you matter to God. Your neighbor matters to God. Each homeless person matters to God. Even the person with whom you radically disagree politically matters to God. Not just a little, but a lot. Not just now, but for eternity. And not just when it is deserved, but especially when it’s not.
