The word Gospel in the original Greek means ‘Good News’. The Good News was incarnated in Jesus, proclaimed by him in all he said, acted out in the way he lived and treated others, and became personal for every human being through his act of sacrificial self-giving. So what makes all of this Good News? It’s about God’s passionate love. Forgiveness of sins. New life that changes how people relate to God, see others and feel about themselves. Hope for the future. And perhaps most importantly, the fact that this Good News can become your news even when you are overwhelmed by bad news.
