It probably seems all you hear from the media and see on social media is bad news. It’s depressing to be sure. But even more importantly, it can shape your mind in such a way that you think everything is bad all the time. And that’s a problem, because when you let yourself be shaped primarily by bad news, you are choosing to negate God’s Good News. So instead of being captive to the negative, investigate what God’s up to. How have you experienced God’s presence in recent days? Where have you seen God do something amazing – either in your life or the world around you? When have you felt Jesus’ comforting embrace when you needed it most? And here’s the thing about these three holy questions. The more you ask them, the easier they will be to answer.
