You look at the sky on a clear night filled with more stars than you can count, and wonder whether your life counts for anything. You try as hard as you can to keep up with the latest technology, and feel utterly incompetent. And you see critically important issues like millions going to bed hungry every night, racial injustice that is perpetuated year after year and climate change that threatens the well-being of planet earth, and assume your pains and hurts are inconsequential. Well, you’re wrong. Sure, God is dealing with the cosmos. But God’s love is so great that it includes you. And your life. And your hurts. And your dreams. And what happens to  you. Here’s why. You matter to God so much that God sent Jesus to live, die and be resurrected so that you may have life.
