You love Jesus. You long to live as his disciple. But what can you do today to live out your identity as a Jesus-follower? Actually, a great deal regardless of what’s going on in your life. You can pray – not just once, but throughout the day. You can spend time in the Bible. You can live out the words of the hymn that say, “melt me, mold me, fill me, use me.” You can consciously count your blessings. You can ask yourself a question when you have to make an important decision, “What would Jesus do?” You can look for ‘glory sightings,’ and celebrate how God is at work all around you. You can look at people who make you uncomfortable, those with whom you disagree, and those who have hurt you and say, “But Jesus died for that person, too.” You can “… act justly and love mercy and walk humbly with your God.” And you can give thanks that “this is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice in it.”
