The UMC Judicial Council will review a request by the Council of Bishops on the constitutionality of three plans submitted by the Commission on a Way Forward in its October 2018 docket.
The three plans — the One Church Plan, the Connectional Conference Plan, and the Traditionalist Plan — will be reviewed by the Judicial Council before the 2019 Special Session of the General Conference to determine whether any or all of the petitions meet constitutional requirements.
This is not the final report on the three plans, and any or all plans are subject to changes if found to be unconstitutional according to the Judicial Council’s review.
