You see angels everywhere this time of year. They’re on Christmas trees, in front of houses and in nativities. But while angels are almost universally depicted as beautiful heavenly beings, they don’t usually appear this way in real life. That’s because angels are God’s messengers whom God sends to bring help, healing and hope. Which means that God commissions all kinds of people to be angels who show up in your life in a variety of ways, in all kinds of places and with a multitude of looks. So be on the lookout for the angels God is sending you. They probably won’t have wings and halos, often will not fully understand the role they’re playing and may sometimes seem shockingly unangelic. But they have something from God to share with you. And it’s going to make just the difference you need today.
