What kind of God are you looking for? It could be a God who gives meaning to your suffering. Fixes things so you are comfortable, happy and carefree. Or makes wonderful promises about the ‘sweet by-and-by’. But there’s an entirely different question that’s actually far more important. What kind of God is looking for you? It is God who cherishes you as a precious child. Takes the initiative to reach out to you. Saves and heals you. Transforms you into a more loving, compassionate and generous person. Gives you a unique purpose in life. And longs for an eternal relationship with you. When you think about it, it makes so much sense why this question is so easy to answer. That’s because it is always far more important who God is than who you want God to be.
