A Sunday Prayer 04/03/16

Lord,

A new day has dawned filled with joy, pain, questions, opportunities and hope.

I long to embrace today in every possible way. Not on my own, as if it were mine. But as a gift from You – so I can give You thanks for it, embrace You in it, seek Your Will for it, and trust You completely because of it.

I don’t just want to do this in my best moments, but in every single moment; merely take care of business, but find meaning; desire only to go through the motions, but live; and not hope just to survive, but thrive.

I know there’s only one way this can happen: You. So here I am, Lord. Just as I am, Lord. Ready, Lord. Filled to overflowing with gratitude, anticipation and hope.

May it be so.
