Connectional Ministry

The Office of Connectional Ministry provides leadership in four major areas:

  1. Implementing the Imagine Ministry  process;
  2. Pursuing the trajectory and Next Steps as defined in the Bishop’s Mission Plan ;
  3. Guiding alignment between Conference groups and the trajectory;
  4. Shepherding strategic plans for ministries, in collaboration with the Extended Cabinet.

The Director of Connectional Ministry serves as the Assistant to the Bishop, has major responsibility for leading the implementation of the Imagine Ministry process, guiding alignment of The Trajectory and the structure of the Annual Conference, and fulfills the functions assigned to the Director of Connectional Ministries.

Assistant Director of Connectional Ministry for Mission Field Engagement

As Assistant Director of Connectional Ministry, Maxine focuses on Mission Field Engagement, New Church Starts; and Ministry to the “Nones” (the religiously unaffiliated–just under 20 percent of all U.S. adults, according to polling by the Pew Research Center). A key element of this office is to guide churches in aligning their ministries with several steps of the Bishop’s Mission Plan.

The Administrative Assistant for Connectional Ministry serves as the assistant to the  Director of Connectional Ministry and provides support for the ongoing implementation of the Imagine Ministry process with particular emphasis on the Bishop’s Mission Plan.
