The World is a Frightening Place This Morning

The world is a frightening place this morning. A mother in Latin America worries how she will feed her child. A parent in a New Hampshire town wonders if this is the day his addicted child will die from an opioid overdose. A young man in Little Rock faces the possibility he may die in a violent confrontation. You increasingly are concerned a nuclear confrontation is looming. We are afraid for ourselves, others and our world. We feel powerless in the face of forces far larger than us. And we wonder where God is. Which is exactly why it is time for each of us to do what we can always do – pray.
