Strong response to cleaning bucket need changes focus to health kits, school kits: Following flooding in the Baton Rouge area, the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) requested that churches send cleaning buckets to the Sager Brown Depot in Baldwin, Louisiana. Members of Perryville UMC, pictured above, sent more than 100 of this particular type of disaster response kit, and they were not alone. UMCOR has now received enough cleaning buckets for the current need and for restocking the warehouse, and has requested that we focus on health kits and school kits during Ingathering 2016. Visit www.umcor.org/UMCOR/Relief-Supplies for instructions on assembling health kits and school kits. (Any cleaning buckets your church has already assembled will still be accepted on Nov. 19.)
