Choose to Make God’s Hope Your Hope

There are times it’s appropriate to be afraid. Like when your child has just turned 16 and is driving alone for the first time; you get a life-threatening diagnosis from the doctor; or you suddenly have to do life without that person who has been your rock your entire life. But being afraid at times is very different from living in chronic fear that sucks the life out of you – literally. So how in heaven’s name do you embrace hope in a world filled with so much bad news it almost seems like a miracle when you hear anything good? Turn to God who loves you even when you doubt it. Trust God who loves you even when you turn away. And embrace God when the hopelessness seems bigger than life itself. After all, when all is said and done, it’s up to you to choose to make God’s hope your hope.
