Whose You Are

You may think that the most important thing about you is something you’ve accomplished. Your family may be convinced that it’s an especially positive aspect of your character. And your friends may want to point to the way you treat others. While all of these things matter, not a single one of them is what’s most important about you. That’s because what ultimately matters most about you is whose you are – and you are God’s. This means something pretty spectacular: you are created in God’s image, loved unconditionally, and nurtured and shaped by God. It also means something pretty radical: you will only find your true purpose, meaning, joy and hope when you choose to live your life in ways that acknowledge whose you are. So celebrate that you are God’s. And then get busy living a life that gives God all honor, praise and glory.
