Glenda Roberson Nesbit Lanier, 1939-2014

Glenda Roberson Nesbit Lanier, 75 of Dubach, La., passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014, at St Francis Medical Center in Monroe, La., following a brief illness.
Born on Feb. 2, 1939, in El Dorado, Ark., she was the daughter of Elvis and Opal Jennings Roberson. While residing in El Dorado, Glenda was a school teacher in Norphlet and started South Arkansas School Supply. She was a former member of Immanuel Baptist Church. At her death, she was a member of First United Methodist Church Dubach, La., where her husband serves as pastor. Glenda loved reading Christian novels, sewing and music. 
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, a son Billy Nesbit, her first husband Charles Nesbit, and a sister Connie Roberson. 
Survivors are her husband of 27 years, the Rev. Don W. Lanier, on honorable location in Louisiana from the Arkansas Conference; a daughter, Melissa Nesbit Whitlow and her husband, Stuart, of Jacksonville, Fla., a brother, Roy Roberson of El Dorado; and grandchildren Connor and Jenna Whitlow. 
A funeral service was held in the chapel of Young’s Funeral Directors Tuesday, May 13, with the Revs. Stuart Whitlow and Ellen Alston officiating.
